Who we are

What we collect

This site has no sign-up, no user accounts, no shopping cart, and no contact form. We do not run a database of visitors. In practice that leaves three ways we might end up with your information.

When you contact us

If you email us, call us, or book a call through our scheduling page, we receive whatever you choose to send: typically your name, your email address or phone number, and whatever you tell us about your project. We only get this because you deliberately sent it.

Technical information

Our hosting provider records standard server information for every request, including your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser and device type. This is ordinary web server operation and is used to serve the site and to investigate faults and abuse.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. It is cookieless: it stores nothing in your browser, does not follow you between sites, and does not attempt to identify you. It records the page, the referrer, and coarse device and country information, aggregated so individual visitors are not distinguishable. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell or share this data. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of what loads.

Why we process it

• To reply to you and to discuss, scope, and deliver work you have asked us about. Where you have contacted us, this is on the basis of your request and our legitimate interest in responding to it.
• To keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse. This is our legitimate interest in operating a functioning website.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Our analytics is cookieless and aggregated, which is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are worth keeping.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations where a project goes ahead.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

Who else is involved

We keep third parties to a minimum, and the ones we do use are listed here in full rather than described in general terms.

• Vercel hosts the site and processes server logs on our behalf.
• Vercel Web Analytics provides cookieless traffic measurement.
• Adobe Fonts (Typekit) serves one typeface. Your browser requests it from Adobe on every page, which means Adobe receives your IP address.
• Calendly powers the booking widget on our contact page. It loads only on that page, and anything you enter when booking goes to Calendly.
• Google Maps provides the embedded map on our contact page, which loads only on that page.

Our remaining typefaces are served directly from this site, so no request is made to Google Fonts. We may also share information with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.

Where your data goes

We are based in India. Several of the providers above are based in the United States or process data there, so information about your visit may be transferred outside your country. Where those transfers involve personal data of people in the UK or the European Economic Area, they are made under the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Records relating to work we have actually delivered are kept for as long as tax and contract law requires. Server logs and analytics are kept on the retention schedules of the providers named above. If you want your enquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over the personal data we hold about you.

• Ask what we hold and get a copy of it.
• Have inaccurate information corrected.
• Have information erased.
• Object to or restrict how we use it.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
• Ask for your information in a portable format.
• Complain to your data protection regulator.

If you are in India, these rights arise under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, they arise under the UK GDPR or the GDPR. Email us and we will action the request. We do not charge for this.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We keep the number of systems holding your information small, which is the most effective control available to a studio our size. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Material changes will be made obvious rather than slipped in.
